The Finnish Cancer Forum will take place as a hybrid event on 10 November 2025 at 12:00-16:00 in Helsinki and online. The event will bring together experts to introduce the Finnish Cancer Strategy and discuss the establishment of the Cancer Mission Hub Finland.

As part of the programme, the European Cancer Organisation will cohost the session Time to Accelerate – Together Against Cancer: the new European Cancer Pulse Country Report for Finland, where it will launch and present the latest of the Pulse country reports, this time covering Finland.

At the session, ECO will present the European Cancer Roadmap to 2030 as well as the status and opportunities for Finnish cancer policy. This session will be in English.

Following the launch a panel of experts will reflect on the country report and discuss how the Cancer Strategy responds to the findings. Moderated by Norbert Couespel, Policy Research & EU Projects Manager at the European Cancer Organisation, the panel will be composed by:

  • Emma Andersson, Advocacy Specialist, Association of Cancer Patients in Finland
  • Mef Nilbert, MD, PhD, Lund University and Expert Advisor, National Board of Health & Welfare
  • Tuula Helander, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health
  • Tomi Mäkelä, Director, FICAN
  • Member of the European Parliament, TBC

Please, join us in person or online to address the ways in which we can work with Finland to ensure that national and international cancer collaboration remains present in the political agenda.
