Endorsements 

Policy Statements & Initiatives 

• Policy initiative endorsement is available to European Cancer Organisation’s Member Societies and Patient Advisory Committee members who submit an official request to the Policy & Advocacy Team.  

• The European Cancer Organisation does not endorse any policy initiatives from commercial entities. 
  
  
• Normally, the European Cancer Organisation only endorses policy initiatives from within its community*. An application form will be provided upon request.  

 

Events and Awareness Days 

• Event endorsement is automatic for European Cancer Organisation’s Member Societies and Patient Advisory Committee members, using their “badge”, without need for an application process. 

• The European Cancer Organisation does not endorse any events from commercial entities. 
  
  
• Normally, the European Cancer Organisation only endorses events from within its community*. An application form will be provided upon request.  

Standards & Guidelines 

• Endorsement of standards and guidelines is automatic for our Member Societies and Patient Advisory Committee members, using their “badge”, without need for an application process. 
  
  
• The European Cancer Organisation does not endorse any proposed standards or guidelines from commercial entities. 
  
  
• Normally, the European Cancer Organisation only endorses standards and guidelines from within its community*. An application form will be provided upon request.  
  
  

*Our community includes our Member Societies, our Patient Advisory Committee and participants in our Focused Topic Networks. If you represent an organisation that is interested in an endorsement from the European Cancer Organisation but is not currently part of our community, please contact us here. 

 

Process of Endorsement Decision-Making 

The Board Member appointed as responsible for Endorsement will only immediately approve or reject endorsement requests that very clearly can, or can not, be supported by the European Cancer Organisation.  In all other circumstances, they will be forwarded to the Executive Committee for review.  

This approach enables the European Cancer Organisation to be fast and effective in reviewing endorsement requests.
