Objective: Promoting gender–neutral vaccination programmes to protect young people across Europe from cancers caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV) e.g., cervical, anal, penile, vaginal, vulval, head and neck.

ECO’s Role: Leading the project's coordination and communication; sharing the results of the project through a variety of dissemination activities; supporting the development of Member State guidelines; and identifying best practices to communicate effectively with young people and their parents/caregivers on the benefits of HPV vaccination.

PRAISE-U

Coordinator: European Association of Urology (EAU)

Objective: Design a cost-effective diagnostic strategy and algorithm for prostate cancer screening in Europe based on national needs and an individualised multi-step risk stratification approach, and pilot, monitor and evaluate it in various EU regions.

ECO’s Role: To support the project’s communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement and policy impact, including via the organisation of a joint end-of-project Cancer Screening and Early Detection Policy Summit (WP6).

SANGUINE

Coordinator: Tel Aviv University (TAU)

Objective: Introduce a novel minimally-invasive blood test that detects and classifies a set of hematological malignancies.

ECO’s Role: Work Package 6 leader on dissemination, communication, exploitation and patients engagement.

SOLACE

Coordinator: European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR)

Objective: Produce a comprehensive guideline and implementation package on lung cancer screening, design, plan and roll-out pilot projects across the EU and establish long-lasting support to the sustained implementation of lung cancer screening in all Member States

ECO’s Role: To support the project’s communication, dissemination and policy impact, including via the organisation of a joint end-of-project Cancer Screening and Early Detection Policy Summit (WP8).

TOGAS
 

Coordinator: University of Latvia

Objective: To provide the missing evidence-based knowledge for implementing appropriate gastric cancer screening in the EU.
