Over the last 2.5 years, the TRANSITION project developed an innovative training curriculum to provide advanced digital skills to cancer care professionals across Europe. It’s also learned valuable lessons along the way.

16 September – Balancing Continuing Learning and Professional Practice: Addressing the needs of cancer professionals in the work environment


Professional development is vital in oncology, yet healthcare professionals face increasing pressure to balance ongoing learning with demanding clinical responsibilities.

This interactive workshop will:

This high-level event at the European Parliament focuses on how TRANSITION’s outcomes align with EU priorities for health innovation, resilience, and workforce development.

The session will:

  • Present the core outcomes of the project
  • Launch final recommendations for embedding digital skills into national and EU workforce strategies
  • Call for action from policymakers to ensure sustainable, accredited digital training in oncology.
  • Connect TRANSITION’s legacy to major EU initiatives such as Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, the European Health Data Space, and wider workforce strategies
