Tomáš Zdechovský (*2 November 1979) is a Czech politician, member of active reserves, crisis manager, media analyst and author, currently in his second term as a member of the European Parliament within the European People's Party (EPP). 

Apart from internal security, migration and defence he actively advocates for mental health and greater protection for cancer patients in the European Parliament as a member of AFET, LIBE and EMPL committees while also serving as the Chairman of the DCAS Delegation. In his capacity as a member and deputy leader of the Czech governing party, KDU-CSL (Christian-Democratic Party), he prioritizes bringing the government closer to citizens and is known for relentless community engagement.

Mr. Zdechovský has been personally committed to defending the rights of cancer patients and survivors. In particular, in April 2023, he submitted a Parliamentary question to Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides in regard to improving the quality of life of cancer patients and survivors is one of the main pillars of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan.
