In a time of geopolitical disruption and uncertainty, the European Cancer Organisation convened the broad cancer community to ensure cancer care is a priority in the upcoming political agenda.
The European Cancer Summit 2025 united the community on 19–20 November, in Brussels and online for an exceptional edition, fit for exceptional times.
Against a backdrop of tightening budgets and shrinking international cooperation, this year’s Summit focused on understanding the global challenges reshaping cancer care and research, and rallying around commitments to protect and advance progress made under Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and the Cancer Mission.
The European Cancer Summit Report 2025 highlights the rich discussions that took place during this unique event, including ‘Next Level for Cancer Screening: From Commitments to Continued Action for Early Cancer Detection,’ ‘Harnessing AI for Cancer Care in Europe,’ and ‘Next Level EU Cancer Survivorship and Quality-of-Life Policy.’ Discover leaders safeguarding screening programmes despite financial constraints, innovators harnessing AI to improve cancer care delivery, and policymakers strengthening survivorship and research investment frameworks.
