Update on PROTECT-EUROPE - January 2024

26 January 2024

PROTECT-EUROPE is now a year old. This EU4Health project champions gender-neutral vaccination programmes in EU Member States to provide protection against all cancers caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). Work is progressing in all Work Packages to identify best practices and recommendations for clinicians and healthcare professionals (WP2), gather evidence on effective public health campaigns on vaccination (WP3), and prepare for the introduction of the online training course (WP4).

In December, we completed an important deliverable under WP6 that gathers all the current and future project communications materials that partners can use to disseminate the key messages. Interested parties can contact the ECO team to know more.

Finally, the online hub under WP4 that will showcase project results is currently under development thanks to the collaboration between ECO and the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) which is one of ECO's Member Societies. The completion of the hub is expected in the next few weeks, and over the course of the year the Consortium will focus on preparing and delivering the ten masterclasses for healthcare professionals and clinicians that will represent one of the main outputs of the project.
