ACOE Launches CPD Accreditation to Advance Oncology Education Across Europe

06 November 2025

As part of its 2025-2028 strategy, the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE) is proud to announce the launch of its new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation, marking an important step in expanding our role in supporting high-quality oncology education across the continent.

The new CPD Accreditation extends ACOE’s trusted accreditation framework beyond physician-focused activities to encompass the full spectrum of oncology professionals, including nurses, radiation therapists, and allied health specialists. This development addresses gaps in existing accreditation systems and ensures that all oncology professionals have access to independent, high-quality educational opportunities that foster lifelong learning and professional excellence.

Why CPD Accreditation?

Across Europe, there is a growing recognition of the need for structured CPD opportunities that reflect the multidisciplinary nature of modern oncology care. ACOE’s CPD accreditation will complement existing frameworks by offering profession-specific educational credits and promoting consistent quality standards in oncology education.

Through this initiative, ACOE reinforces its commitment to advancing professional development, supporting collaboration across disciplines, and ultimately enhancing cancer care for patients throughout Europe.
