INTERACT-EUROPE 100, Work Package 5 – Evaluation

Leader: MEDIZINISCHE UNIVERSITAET WIEN (MUW)

Objectives:

Work Package 5 will evaluate the effectiveness of the INTERACT-EUROPE 100 inter-speciality training programme by:

  • Developing a mixed-methods evaluation strategy involving learners (HCWs) and key stakeholders.
  • Conducting formative and cumulative evaluations of the INTERACT training programme in participating cancer centres.
  • Creating guidelines for continual monitoring and recommend post-project implementation to ensure programme sustainability.

Description:

T5.1 Evaluation Strategy

Develop a robust evaluation strategy through a scoping review, utilizing the RE-AIM framework. A DELPHI method will be employed, involving key stakeholders, to prioritize expected successes, pitfalls, and outcomes. Standardise metrics and methodologies for data collection across participating cancer centres, considering diverse professional perspectives.

T5.2 Evaluation of Pioneer Cohort

Evaluate a subset of participants and centres to assess the feasibility and acceptability of planned assessment techniques. Use insights to enhance the evaluation process for the main cohort.

T5.3 Evaluation of Digital Learning Environment and Materials

Review and refine the evaluation of learning materials and the digital learning environment based on existing criteria catalogues. Involve a panel of experts, assess usage data, and include patient perspectives to ensure effectiveness. Establish evaluation metrics in collaboration with Work Package 5 and Work Package 2 leaders.

T5.4 Evaluation of the Second Cohort

Conduct both formative and summative evaluations of the learner cohort, employing a mixed-methods approach. Use online questionnaires and qualitative interviews to gauge programme impact and satisfaction. Conduct focus group discussions to identify support structures and barriers, ensuring representation across diverse healthcare worker groups.

T5.5 Evaluation Report

Present comprehensive formative and summative evaluation results, including qualitative and quantitative findings. Provide recommendations for the long-term implementation and sustainability of the INTERACT programme beyond the project's life cycle.
