Nicoletta Luppi is President and Managing Director of MSD Italy since 2015 and is a member of the Vaccines Europe Board.
She holds an Honours Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures and an MBA. Nicoletta joined MSD in 1993, becoming the first woman to advance through roles of increasing responsibility within the affiliate. She is a member of the Executive Committee of Aspen Institute Italy and was recently appointed Vice President of Assolombarda for the 2025–2029 term, with delegations for “Europe” and “Life Sciences”. In academia, she has served as Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management, Innovation, and Sustainability at LUISS University in Rome, and is now the Director of the Master’s in Management for the Health, Pharma, and Biomed Sector at 24ORE Business School. She is also an 'Ambassador in Pink' for Susan G. Komen Italy. In April, FORBES Italy featured her on its cover with the interview titled 'The Future is in Health: A Group Leader' and recognised her— for the second time—among the top 100 successful women in Italy, celebrating her distinctive leadership and role as a driver of change. She has also been honoured as a “Regenerative Leader” by the Regenerative Marketing Institute, founded by Dr Philip Kotler.
