Dr. Maja Velkovski-Rouyer is the Global Medical Director of Gynaecological Oncology at MSD. She obtained her Medical Degree from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, Serbia, and furthered her education in Immuno-Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine in Lille, France, as well as a Master of Business Administration from HEC Paris.
Transitioning from hospital practice to the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Velkovski-Rouyer recognized the potential to significantly enhance women's health beyond the clinical work.
At MSD, she has played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of innovative therapies, including PARP inhibitors, immunotherapy, and targeted kinase inhibitors (TKIs) in oncology.
Her dedication to translating research discoveries into clinical practice focuses on improving medical exchanges, clinical development strategies, and expediting the access of new treatments to improve patient’s outcomes in endometrial, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
