Radiologist, Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Rijnstate Arnhem

Dr. Carla Meeuwis has been working as a radiologist in the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Rijnstate Arnhem, where she's been leading the Department of breast radiology since 2011. In 2005, she commenced her doctoral research in the field of breast cancer and MRI computer aided detection at Universitiy Medical Center Utrecht. She continued her research at Radboud University Medical Center a few years later.

From 2015, Dr. Meeuwis has been a member of the 'Guideline Breastcancer’ working group at the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organization (IKNL). Starting in 2019, she joined the board of the National Breast Cancer Consultation Netherlands (NABON) and also chairs the working group Standardization Reporting and the Dutch Data Health Space in oncology sponsored by the Dutch cancer society (KWF). Additionally, she is a board member of the Dutch College of Breast Imaging (DCBI) and a regular invited speaker at national and international courses and conferences on breast imaging and particularly in electronic data exchange in oncological healthcare and Artificial Intelligence.
