Head of the Disease Prevention Unit,  European Commission's Joint Research Centre

Sandra is the Head of the Disease Prevention Unit at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. Sandra and the JRC team tease out the science in the areas of public health, including cancer, rare diseases and health promotion, for better and healthier policies in the EU. She holds degrees in Microbiology and in Biotechnology as well as a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
