Karl Lavò is a Senior EU Policy and Projects Officer at GAMIAN-Europe, where he drives the organisation’s EU-level advocacy and leads key projects focused on improving mental health outcomes across Europe. His work centres on shaping EU policy agendas—ranging from digital health, patient rights and mental health strategies to research frameworks and social inclusion. Karl works closely with EU institutions, national stakeholders and lived-experience communities to ensure that mental health remains a priority in legislation, funding programmes and cross-sector initiatives. He is committed to translating real-world insights into policy recommendations that strengthen person-centred care, promote accessibility and advance a more coordinated European approach to mental health.
