Tim Van den Wyngaert, MD, PhD

Tim Van den Wyngaert, MD, PhD, is a nuclear medicine physician and professor at the University of Antwerp and deputy head of the department of Nuclear Medicine at the Antwerp University Hospital, Belgium. His research focuses on molecular imaging, with a specific interest in bone SPECT/CT and the development of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals targeting the tumor microenvironment. He currently serves as chairman of the EANM’s Young Professionals Council and as the President-Elect of the Belgian Society of Nuclear Medicine (BELNUC). As from 2024, he is the coordinator of the INSPIRE project (“Initiatives in Nuclear medicine to Support Professional Interest and Recruitment in Europe”): the comprehensive workforce program of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM).
