Eva-Maria Strömsholm is a healthcare professional and patient advocate with a background in nursing and teaching. She holds a master’s degree with a focus on developmental psychology. As co-founder and vice-chair of Gynaecological Cancer Patients in Finland, and chair of the NGPO Nordic network, she supports individuals affected by gynaecological cancers. A cancer patient herself, with experience of both a rare gynaecological cancer and thyroid cancer, she brings personal insight to her advocacy work. She has contributed to several national and international initiatives, including those of ESMO, ESGO ENGAGe, WOCC, IGCS, and ERN EURACAN, and is a member of the WHO/IARC working group on cervical cancer screening. Her involvement spans research, policy, and awareness efforts, with a particular focus on rare cancers and global health.
