Kyriacos Hatzaras

Kyriacos Hatzaras is a Programme Officer - EU Policies of Unit H3 – eHealth, Wellbeing and Ageing with a focus on digital health and advanced technology policy and programmes in the EU, at the European Commission Directorate-General CNECT (Communication Networks, Content and Technology). A Chartered Engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in digital health, ICT system and service management and digital innovation in healthcare delivery, clinical trials and medical devices, he holds a MEng in Electrical Engineering with Management from Imperial College London and a MPhil in European Studies from the London School of Economics. He has previously been a member of the EU-US EHR Interoperability Working Group, Health IT Lead at the King’s College London IT Directorate, Visiting Fellow at the Imperial College Business School, funded NIHR researcher at the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre, and Reviewer for the WHO Bulletin (Geneva, Switzerland).
