Mr. Antonis Tryphonos is a psychologist and a health manager. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, B.Sc., and M.Sc., at Flagstaff University and Radford University U.S.A. He later completed a master’s degree in Hospital Management with Open University of Cyprus from 2006-2010. |He works at PASYKAF advocating for cancer patients and his main expertise is patient-family support, caregivers, education of health professionals, emotional safety policies, bereavement, palliative care and health policies.

Since 2023 he is the Chief of Staff & Director of Services for patient support at PASYKAF. Mr. Tryphonos is the president of the Permanent Cancer Committee (MEK) of the Cyprus Patients’ Federation (OSAK) and has been appointed by the Council of Ministers to act as the representative of patients at the Cyprus National Cancer Committee (2022 –2026).

During the last 20 years Mr. Tryphonos has participated in various conferences of the European Association of Palliative Care (EAPC), UICC and ECL.   Furthermore, besides organizing workshops and training courses for PASYKAF employees, associates and medical practitioners, he has also participated in organizing workshops and conferences for the quality of life of patients, cancer policy and preventive burnout for health professionals.

Mr. Tryphonos’ employment in PASYKAF has given him the opportunity to obtain knowledge and expertise in matters relating to the support of cancer patients, during and following their diagnosis. He is knowledgeable on the patient journey for cancer patients and their families, thus contributing to the National Cancer Committee.
