Member, Special Committee on the Covid-19 Pandemic (COVI)

Véronique Trillet-Lenoir was a Member of the European Parliament. As rapporteur of the European Parliament's special committee on beating cancer, she was responsible for defining the Parliament's position on the Cancer Plan proposed by the European Commission. She was vice-coordinator of the Renew Europe group in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, as well as coordinator of the new special committee on Covid19. She was also a substitute member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. She chaired the MEPs Against Cancer group in the European Parliament, which has over 120 members from different political groups.

University professor and hospital oncologist by profession, Véronique Trillet-Lenoir created the medical oncology department of the Hospices Civils de Lyon, where early clinical trials are developed, and taught oncology at the Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University.

In addition to her medical, teaching and research activities, she chaired the board of the Cancéropole Lyon-Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Cancer Institute (INCA).
