Professor Sabe Sabesan BMBS PhD FRACP is a senior medical oncologist at the Townsville Cancer Centre and clinical dean of the James Cook University’s College of Medicine and Dentistry, as well as the current president of Clinical Oncology Society of Australia. His advocacy includes health equity for regional, rural, and First Nation communities and healthy workplace culture as the foundation for human well-being, productivity and health equity. He has used his research platform to design, implement, and incorporate into policy various tele-oncology models including tele-chemotherapy and tele-trial programs. Currently, he is collaborating with ASCO, ECO, Bloomberg new economy’s International Cancer coalition and other international organizations to develop joint advocacy for healthy workplace culture and health equity.
