Berfu Yaziyurt

Regional President, Oncology, International Developed Markets, Pfizer

Berfu Yaziyurt is Regional President for Pfizer Oncology International Developed Markets (IDM), where she is responsible for Pfizer’s industry-leading portfolio of cancer medicines and biosimilars in the IDM region, which comprises more than 20 countries across Europe, as well as Japan, Russia, Australia, Korea and New Zealand.

She has been with Pfizer for over 24 years, beginning as a sales representative in Turkey and taking on positions of increasing responsibility across the business, including in Marketing, Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Prior to her role as Regional President, Berfu served as Vice President in the Hospital Business Unit, Pfizer. Responsible for the portfolio and commercial operations in her cluster (Italy, Germany, Russia/Belarus, Turkey/Polland, Greece/Cyprus & Malta), Berfu led the customer centric transformation within the organisation while continuing to successfully drive aspirations to reach more patients in need.

An innovative and experienced leader, Berfu has broad experience across a range of disease areas beyond oncology, including pain, CNS, urology, vaccines, respiratory and Biosimilars. She is passionate about talent development and champions an inclusive workplace culture.

Berfu holds a BA in Management from Bilkent University in Turkey as well as a Marketing & PR Certificate from George Washington University in the U.S.; and she has further developed her skills over the years in a wide array of continuous learning courses and programmes. 

Berfu lives in Rome with her husband Ozgur and has two sons Can and Cem, living in Manchester and Istanbul. She enjoys travelling, hosting Games Nights for friends and family, and has a love of interior design.
