Stein Kaasa

Director of the European Palliative Care Research Centre (PRC),  Department of Oncology, Oslo University Hospital and Institute of Clinical Medicine, University of Oslo, Norway.

Stein Kaasa is an internationally recognized expert in oncology and palliative medicine. He is Professor Emeritus at the University of Oslo and serves as Director of the European Palliative Care Research Centre (PRC) at Oslo University Hospital. He coordinates the EU-funded MyPath project and leads work packages in several other European research initiatives. A strong advocate for evidence-based clinical practice, Professor Kaasa has played a key role in advancing palliative medicine and patient-centered care as priorities in healthcare, both nationally and internationally. His work focuses on translating research into clinical practice to enhance cancer care and improve patient outcomes.
