Prof Markus Peck-Radosavljevic, MD MBA, is Professor of Medicine and Chairman at the Department of Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology (IMuG) at Klinikum Klagenfurt in Klagenfurt, Austria. Prof Peck-Radosavljevic completed his medical studies in Graz and was a postdoctoral fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He received his clinical training at the Medical University of Vienna, where he spent also most of his academic career.

He is specialized in internal medicine, in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as in internal intensive care medicine and infectious Diseases. He has been actively involved in studies on end-stage cirrhosis, liver transplantation, viral hepatitis and HIV-HCV coinfection. Lately, his main research areas are metabolic liver diseases and liver cancer.

Prof Peck-Radosavljevic has served as Secretary General of EASL between 2013-2015. He has been a member of the United European Gastroenterology (UEG) Council since 2015 and the Chair of the UEG Public Affairs Committee (PAC) since 2018. In 2021, he will become the President of the International Association of the Study of the Liver (IASL).
