Over the past four years, Europe’s ambitious Beating Cancer Plan and the EU Cancer Mission are contributing to tangible progress in cancer prevention, care, and survivorship - with Cypriot leaders playing a strong role.\n \nBuilding on these foundations, we must seize the momentum to advance European cancer policy cooperation. As Cyprus prepares to assume the Presidency of the EU Council in 2026, Cypriot politicians have seen an opportunity for Cyprus to ensure cancer remains a political priority in EU’s multiannual budget.\n \nMembers of the European Parliament from Cyprus, supported by the Mayor of Larnaka and the European Cancer Organisation, launched the Larnaka Call: a renewed push for European cooperation on cancer, backed by political will and sustainable funding.\n \nYou can now join these leading voices by endorsing the Larnaka Call online.
