Policy Decision Making

When agreeing policy within the European Cancer Organisation, our paramount principles are:

  • All Member Societies should be consulted during the process, with decisions made by our Board elected by Member Societies.  This ensures we receive input from all the disciplines and professionals represented in our membership.
  • The Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) also provides expertise, experience and advice throughout the process. 

  • Community 365 contributors do not have a decision-making role in our policy work.

This approach enables the European Cancer Organisation to be fast, effective and nimble in reviewing policy requests while also providing opportunity for input by all Member Societies on an equal basis.
